This week in math we are reading, writing, and comparing numbers from the millions place to the thousandths place. Students will need to be able to reading really big numbers and write them using standard form, word form, and expanded form. (8,432,715.916; eight million, four hundred thirty-two thousand, seven hundred fifteen and nine hundred sixteen thousandths; 8,000,000 + 400,000 + 30,000 + 2,000 + 700 + 10 + 5 + .9 + .01 + .006) We will also review powers of ten and exponential notation. 10 x 10 x 10 = 103 Except the three should be at the top of the 10. I'm not sure how to do that in the website format.
In science we will study ecosystems and biomes.
